Steve and I went to Seattle a few weeks ago to visit our far away friends Aaron and Vera. Steve had a meeting up in Redmond, which is not entirely rare, but it was on a Friday, which is. Since his plane ticket was being paid for by the company, we decided to make the most of it. I went to the airport directly from work Friday night and we spent the whole weekend with Aaron and Vera. It had been over a year and a half since we’d seen them, so the visit was long overdue.
On Saturday, we Rode the Ducks.
These amphibious vehicles, designed during WWII, go on a driving tour around downtown Seattle, finishing the tour by driving right into Lake Union and boating around for 15 minutes.
It was a fun tour, but giving Steve a duck call was a ridiculous idea. Between the loud duck-themed music and the persistent blowing of the duck calls, I ended the tour with a massive headache.
We did get this cute photo, though.
