Once again, we had a lovely time on the Garden Isle, although it was a bit warmer than we recall it being on past trips. We are more frequently here in October or November, and August was a bit. . . swampy. But even so, the Trade Winds kept us cool in the condo most of the time, and the heat certainly didn’t keep us from getting out and doing things.
After finishing our packing, we had a leisurely breakfast at the Kountry Kitchen, followed by a short stroll along the walking path that follows the shoreline just outside our condo.
Traffic through Kapa’a was a bit heavier than anticipated which made the drive to the airport slightly more tense than we would have liked, but we made it in time.
I’m writing this as we’re cruising over the Pacific Ocean, feeling cautiously hopeful that Hurricane Lester appears to be veering off to the north and won’t hit the island after all. And so, once again, we say “Aloha”.
